If you’re considering a quick summer vacation, I highly recommend planning a trip to Oregon.
The flight from Arizona to Oregon is a swift 2 hours and 40 minutes, nonstop. Moreover, I found the airfare surprisingly affordable for a round trip in July.
Upon stepping out of the airport, I was immediately struck by the stunning magnolia trees dotting the landscape. With the temperature at a perfect 78 degrees, the weather couldn’t have been better!
We were incredibly hungry and decided to head towards Pizzeria Sul Lago in Lake Oswego which was 25 minutes drive from the Portland Airport. The restaurant was located in this cute shopping center called Lake View Village.

Otis, Oregon
On the way to Lincoln, we decided to stop in Otis, Oregon. We took a chance and took a road that lead to a beautiful lake.

Oceanside Beach
Our initial stop along the coast, Oceanside, was well worth the drive! It was absolutely breathtaking and picturesque.

It was overcasted the day we were there but nothing short of amazing! This is definitely a stop you will need to make during your visit.
A Quick Pit Stop in Bay City for Lunch!

The seafood at The Fish Peddler’s was so fresh and delicious! Being the foodie that I am, I encouraged my family to each get something different so I could try theirs. HA! The clam chowder was divine! Although we are not huge fried-food people, we ordered fish and chips, fried oysters, and the lobster roll! This is definitely a spot to stop at!
Buxton, OR – Our First Tiny House Experience

When traveling, I make it a point to experience everything that I typically do not get the chance to try and on this trip, one of those things is staying in a tiny home in the middle of the woods. We found this stay on Airbnb and it was perfect! The tiny house included luxury amenities that was definitely unexpected which included a bidet and induction appliances! Check out this Tiny House Stay!
Final Stop: Back to the City of Portland
Our final day was spent in Portland where we visited the iconic International Rose Garden! I think I could have spent an entire day here. They had every type of rose you can ever think of and it was the perfect instagram spot for photos! There were so many other attractions we wish we could have experienced but if you are visiting Portland, I recommend signing up for a City Tour to be sure you hit all the spots!
